Picks for the week of June 28:
Special Needs Sensory Grab & Go Activity Bags
When: monthly, by registration only
What: These Grab & Go bags are designed for children with sensory
processing disorders such as Autism Spectrum disorders. They feature sensory
friendly activities, crafts, and learning tools like ASL flashcards.
Miss Christine's Farm - Yarn from the Barn
When: Wednesday, June 30 2021, 9:00am - 10:00am
What: Have you ever wondered where yarn comes from? In this video Miss
Christine from the Cumming Library will show you from start to finish how local
yarn is produced from barn to yarn! From the sheep getting sheared to the
washing of the wool to the spinning of the yarn, let's learn where and how the
yarn/wool in the clothing we wear is produced.
Musical Mornings with Miss Kelly
When: Wednesday, June 30 2021, 10:00am - 11:00am
What: This class, taught by Kelly Hollis at Hampton Park, teaches preschoolers
the basics of music like rhythm, rests, and different notes using a variety of music, songs, rhymes, and instruments.
Virtual Hindi Storytime
When: Friday, July 02 2021, 10:00am - 10:15am
What: This virtual storytime, presented by Anu Murari from Sharon Forks, teaches
basic Hindi vocabulary using stories, songs, and rhymes. It is designed for
both language learners and native Hindi speakers.
