From virtual to in-person and everything in between, there
are a lot of exciting programs happening at FCPL this summer! Check the blog
this summer for weekly programming picks!
And be sure to check out FCPL’s Calendar of Events to see all the programs happening at all four FCPL branches and
the Bookmobile.

What: Join Dr. Joseph Bartges, Professor of Veterinary Medicine with the
University of Georgia, to learn how to provide better care for your aging pet.
You can register here for
this virtual program.
Grab & Go Bags
When: all summer long, at all branches!
What: Did you know that each branch has been providing Grab & Go bags for
youth (preschool, elementary, and teens) this past year? Did you know that
several of the branches have also started providing Grab & Go bags for
adults? These bags are extremely popular and contain a plethora of cool
activities. For kids, bags contain crafts, STEAM activities, links to fun and educational
online resources, and literacy activities. For adults, these bags contain
recipes, crafts, book recommendations, and more.
To get an idea of their popularity, both PR and SF ran out
of their first sets of youth Grab & Go bags within a few days—we’re talking
about nearly 1,000 bags in the span of less than a week! The adult bags have
been a very popular offering as well, with grown-ups and parents excited that
we’re offering something special just for them.
These bags have been a great way to serve patrons while we
haven’t been able to host in-person programs and clearly, our patrons love
them.
