2020 LibTech Funds

The library will receive $13,508.45 from the 2020 LibTech funds.  The amount is lower this year than last year because last year all libraries received additional money for Census equipment.  This money is restricted to computer equipment that is dedicated for use by the patrons.  For this year, we have decided to use the funds to purchase a new MFD (multifunctional device) for the patrons at the Cumming Library.  The current MFD was purchased in 10/31/2016 and while the MFD is working correctly, we are having issues with the coin/bill acceptor and the MFD communicating properly.  We will take the current Cumming patron MFD and use it to replace the Cumming staff MFD which was purchased in 02/15/2010 and does not need a coin/bill acceptor.  We estimate that after purchasing the MFD, we would have some money remaining.  With the remaining money, we will purchase some replacement patron computers for the Cumming Library.  The current Cumming patron computers were purchased in 2013.  If for some reason, we are unable to purchase an MFD with these funds, we will use the money to replace all the desktop and laptop patrons computers at the Cumming library that were purchased in 2013.
