Who is ready to kill some germs and look cool?

Facilities has purchased a Victory Innovations Electrostatic Handheld Sprayer and Bioesque Botanical Disinfectant Spray to sanitize areas as needed.  Electrostatic sprayers use positive and negative charges to make disinfecting solutions electromagnetically stick to targeted surfaces. No matter which angle you disinfect a surface from.  This makes it quick and easy to disinfect an area.  We decided on Bioesque Botanical disinfectant because it was effective but not harsh, safe for all areas and had a pleasant odor.  

For now, we only have one system that will need to be shared between all locations but we will consider purchasing more if there is a need.  If you would like to request the system, please use the Device Reservation System in the CMT.

While I know we everyone is focusing on COVID-19 and this system is effected against COVID-19, it can be used to fight a variety of viruses (flu, strep, colds, etc).  The system can disinfect areas as needed even while we are open the public.  I will schedule training with each branch for how to use the device.  So for now while you are waiting on your training, enjoy these pictures of Joan killing germs and looking cool!

Do I have to mix Bioesque with water?

How long does it last after application?

Like all other disinfectants, GermPro products will be effective until the area is contaminated again. Most households and facilities will have to be treated several times a day, depending on how often they are used.

Can I use this as a mister to spray down chairs and other areas?

Yes. Keep in mind that if you are unsure it is always best to test in an inconspicuous area first.
