When requesting IT assistance, please make sure to submit a ticket or send an email. Many IT staff members are still working remotely and will be unable to answer the IT Hotline, especially on evenings and weekends. If the issue prevents you from sending email or submitting a ticket, you may still call the IT Hotline.
As many of you are aware, IT staff have the ability to remotely access most of the library computers. When they do this, they can take control of the desktop and see anything that is on the screen. This ability has been especially helpful during COVID-19 as we want to minimize physical trips to computers. IT staff will always call or warn you before remotely accessing a computer you may be using, so make sure to close any confidential documents or sensitive information before IT connects to your computer.
Thank you for helping us help you.
