A staff member watched the Niche Academy webinar Reopening
Lives with the Library yesterday and suggested it would be helpful for
other staff to watch the recording. She explained, “This is a
collaborative effort to create a collection of online resources/tutorials for
patrons affected by COVID-19 and who will have questions and will need
assistance, so each library does not have to invent the wheel. You do not have
to have a Niche Academy subscription to participate or to use the collection, and
library staff can participate at a local level, too. Libraries can take what has been done and
tweak it for their local systems.”
A different staff member recommended two webinars she watched earlier this week:
Fair
Use and Controlled Digital Lending in the Age of COVID-19 and Form-Based
Readers' Advisory When Your Readers (and Staff) are at Home.
Keep sending me your suggestions!
