Each building is going to operate a bit differently as staff returns to the buildings. Please speak to your supervisor if you have any questions or concerns about site specific operations. Here are some universal truths for the organization as a whole.
Dress code
For the week of May 4, pre-closing relaxed dress code is acceptable. Beginning May 11, we will resume the regular dress code requirements.
If you exhibit signs of illness, do not report to work; seek medical advice.
Temperature checks are required prior to entering the building upon arrival at work each day (forehead, no-touch thermometer available at each building)
Wash hands frequently, including:
- Upon entering the building, before starting work
- After using the restroom
- Before entering the break room
- After work breaks, before returning to work station
- After emptying book return (if applicable)
- After eating, touching face, blowing nose, etc.
- After handling Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- After cleaning / disinfecting
Restrooms
Again, each branch will have different procedures in place, but all will have signs reminding everyone to wash hands thoroughly and use paper towels to touch surfaces when exiting. Extra trash cans have been placed outside each restroom for paper towel disposal.
Masks
Staff are permitted to wear a personal mask that covers their nose and mouth if they have one. If not, one will be provided.
- Wear a mask unless you are working alone in an office with the door closed
- Wear a mask when unable to maintain at least 6 feet of distance
- Wear a mask when moving through or occupying common areas
Social Distancing
Maintain at least 6 feet distance between employees at all times
No entering or using another staff member’s office or personal workspace unless:
- You are invited
- You are wearing a mask
- You maintain at least 6 feet distance
No gatherings of staff during working hours
Breaks/Lunch
- Stagger breaks and don’t congregate in the break room, and don’t share food or utensils
- Clean all surfaces, handles, and appliances you touch after using the break room
- Consider bringing meals that do not need to be refrigerated or heated in order to avoid unnecessary contact
- Breaks and meals may be taken outside, in personal office or workspace, or in other such areas where proper social distancing is attainable
- Staff may eat meals at their desk, if they are alone in an office with the door closed
