Even though there were only five days of Contact-Free Curbside Pickup last week, because of the Memorial Day holiday, week three was almost as busy as weeks one and two. The number of patrons served last week was 1,686, compared with 1,755 in week one and 1,738 in week two. The number of items checked out last week was 9,817, compared with 10,587 in week one and 10,641 in week two.
While week one's circulation was 45% of the equivalent in-person circulation of physical materials in 2019, and week two's circulation was 43%, week three's circulation is 26%. This has nothing to do with the per-day totals, which continue to increase. Rather, it reflects the enormous in-person circulation of last year's first week of Summer Reading Fun.
