Good afternoon! We know you all have lots of questions and are eager for information regarding our phased plan to resume library service. We will begin Phase 2 next week and here is a breakdown of what the next couple of weeks will look like:
Friday, May 1
Courier service resumes, including delivery of mail held at post office since closing
Monday, May 4
Staff reports to buildings as scheduled by supervisors
Book drops open to the public
@FCPL Newsletter sent to public informing them book drops are now open and contact-free curbside pickup will begin May 11
Friday, May 8
Begin checking in quarantined items
Begin checking in items from pull lists
Monday, May 11
Curbside service begins, with appointments available for patrons to select from to pick up checked out materials. Hours will be 12 noon to 7 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 12 noon to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
Chat service will continue with the same hours we have been offering.
Branch Managers and supervisors will share logistical details specific to their branches with their staff. We will also post regular updates and clarifications on the blog, covering areas we know are of concern for everyone. Please post any questions in the comments section below, or contact me directly at reynoldss@forsythpl.org.
